Galvanisation Salts

Ammoniacal Zinc Chloride and Florflux®

Holder of a patent since 1921, Flaurea Chemicals has developed fluxing salts for hot galvanization, which ensures an effective protection against corrosion. This process, which consists of immersing the steel into the zinc bath in fusion, enables  it to be given a particularly effective anti-corrosion coating.

Flaurea Chemicals offers its customers both its know-how and an extended range of products going from Ammoniacal Zinc Chloride (basic double salt) to a wide range of special fluxes (Florflux) adapted to each need or to each particular process.

The future of this process looks bright. In the building sector, it enables the life of the metal structures to be significantly prolonged and their maintenance to be distinctly simplified. Not only for street furniture but also for material intended for agriculture or for certain car parts, hot galvanization remains one of the most effective and most economic means of fighting against corrosion.

  • Flaurea Chemicals offers its customers regular monitoring in terms of analysis of the fluxing baths and provides high-level technical advice.
  • Flaurea Chemicals has adapted its manufacturing processes in order to recycle used baths in such a way that they are neither destroyed nor put into waste disposal dumps at the end of their lives, but properly recycled. (See Recycling data sheet).

Packing

  • The dry fluxes are available in UN-approved 25kg and 50kg bags.
  • The liquid fluxes can be delivered either in cubitainers, or by tanker.

Flaurea Chemicals takes an active part in international studies on the development of new processes with Zinc alloys.
